Megan Reed

Megan Reed is a tuba player, teacher, and free-lance musician in Phoenix Arizona. She has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan, a Master of Music from Yale University and a Master of Music Education from VanderCook College of Music. She has studied the tuba with many world-renowned players and teachers, most notably Arnold Jacobs from August 1997 until his death on October 8, 1998.

Megan taught elementary school music in Denver before the birth of her first child.

She founded Intrinsic Melodies in 2016, and is passionate about bringing high quality music education to kids and adults alike.

Megan is Orff certified, Music Rhapsody certified and trained in the Simply Music Piano method.

Megan is the mother to three energetic boys who keep her on her toes and enthusiastically test her teaching methods.
