All Saints’ Pastoral Care Team is comprised of the clergy, lay Eucharistic visitors, the Community of Hope, the Daughters of the King, and a pastoral care oversight committee. People who need a pastoral visit for themselves or know of someone who would benefit from a lay pastoral visit should speak to a member of the clergy or call the Church Office at 602-279-5539 to initiate the process. Confidentiality is strictly maintained on all matters.

  • The Community of Hope

The mission of The Community of Hope is to create and sustain Christian communities of volunteer lay pastoral caregivers, united in prayer, shaped by Benedictine spirituality and equipped for and serving in pastoral care ministries. Our Community of Hope members have gone through an extensive training program and internship of visiting parishioners and friends of All Saints’ who are in hospitals, residential facilities or their homes and who need or desire the close, caring support of the parish.

Our Community of Hope at All Saints’ has been asked to assist in training volunteers from other Valley parishes, another exciting opportunity to share and learn together. If you are currently involved in community or pastoral outreach (or think you’d like to be), this would be a wonderful time to join with others in developing the skills and knowledge to support your ministry. For more information, contact Sue Kapp at 602-841-4795.

  • The Daughters of the King

This is an Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church. Members undertake a Rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. By reaffirmation of the promises made at Confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ’s Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish. All Saints’ Chapter No. 3154 was officially enrolled in the national organization on May 24, 2000. The group has meetings once a month. Parishioners use special prayer cards located in the pews to request prayers for those in need or crisis. The Daughters pray asking God’s mercy for those individuals. If you are interested in learning more to be a member of All Saints’ Chapter of the Daughters of the King, please contact the Church Office.

  • The Front Line Ministry

The Front Line Ministry serves as the reception/contact entry point for the church. They are present in the office during normal working hours and greet visitors, answer and direct telephone inquiries, and assist the staff and parishioners with day-to-day activities. These volunteer ministers are trained and supported by staff and a volunteer supervisor, Jill Eden, who can be reached at 480-948-0959.

  • "Caring Crafters" The Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry was begun by The All Saints’ Chapter of the Daughters of the King to knit and crochet shawls to be given to individuals in need of prayer and pastoral support. Additional knitters have joined this group, which meets from time to time to knit and pray for the intention of the unknown recipient of the shawl. When completed, the shawls are blessed and delivered by the clergy or lay ministers. More knitters are always welcome. For more information, contact Kate Foster at kate @fiberbits.com.

  • All Saints' Prayer Team

Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. Are any among you sick? They should call for the elder of the church and have them pray over them.

    James 5:13-14a

Every Sunday, we offer healing prayer to all those who want it during the main Sunday services (9am and 11am). You will find two Prayer Team members at the back of the church, in the first two pews from the doors EVERY SUNDAY. We will pray for you and with you–everything held in total confidence. If there is something on your heart you would like to pray about, this is a perfect time and place.
